About Me

My approach to therapy is an empathic one where I consistently strive to understand you from your point of view. Imagine exploring a pivotal event your life, such as the break-up of a significant relationship, the death of a family member, or a childhood trauma. Imagine that a compassionate person is there with you, not only working to comprehend how it feels, but also experiencing the feelings with you as you go through it. This can be a curative process, as it validates you, helps you own it, and strengthens your sense of self. Even sharing painful experiences can be invaluable, making you feel stronger.

I will reflect and help you reflect on these powerful interactions so we can gain insight into larger patterns and processes that contribute to your difficulties. This type of relationship can lead to lasting change.

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from George Washington University and a Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University. I have over 11 years of experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Though I am skilled at working with a variety of psychological issues, my specialties include:

  • Depression and Anxiety
  • Relationship Issues
  • Adjustment and Separation Issues in Early Adulthood
  • Women's Issues
  • Work and Career Issues

I work within a Psychodynamic framework, which means that I develop a comprehensive understanding of your past to help you gain insight into all aspects of you that effect your present. I then help you utilize that insight to break down barriers to healthier functioning. I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients' individual needs.
